Habitat Savannah Calls for New Homeowner Applications
What: Applications Available for 2012 Habitat for Humanity Homeownership Program
Who: Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity, Savannah, Georgia
When: Monday, November 28 through Monday, December 5, 2011
Where: Habitat Savannah offices at 1106 East 70th Street, Savannah, Georgia
Details: Savannah/ Chatham County residents interested in applying to the Habitat Homeownership Program are encouraged to submit a Pre-Qualification Application. Applications will be available in a box outside the organization’s offices at 1106 East 70th Street from November 28 through December 5, 2011. Applications will also be available online under our "Apply" page. Applicants must return the completed application to the Habitat Savannah offices by 5 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2011. Applications will not be accepted after the December 5 deadline.
The submitted Pre-Qualification Applications will be reviewed by the Habitat Savannah volunteer Family Selection Committee. Qualified applicants will be contacted in late December and invited to attend informational meetings in early January 2012 for further consideration. Let’s Build a Gingerbread House with Habitat for Humanity!
NEW DATE- WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 21
Oglethorpe Mall Food Court, 4-8 p.m.
SAVANNAH, GA (12-19-11)- Habitat for Humanity and Oglethorpe Mall are hosting another gingerbread house building workshop this Wednesday, December 21 in the Oglethorpe Mall Food Court.
Families are invited to take a break from their holiday shopping and build a gingerbread house with Habitat Savannah volunteers. The fun begins at 4 p.m. with step-by-step guidance on building the perfect gingerbread house. Families may leave their completed houses on display while they continue their shopping until 8 p.m.
A $20 donation per family to Habitat Savannah is required to participate. Funds generated from the gingerbread workshop go directly to Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity’s Building Houses…Building Hope annual giving campaign.
To reserve your spot, contact parker@habitatsavannah.org or 912-398-4906. Walk-ups are welcomed while supplies last.
