Our Annual Meeting took place on June 27th at SCAD's Poetter Hall. During the meeting, our outgoing Board Chair, Kirk Gilbert, presented where we’ve been and where we are going. Our prior Executive Directors Virginia Brown and Harold Tessendorf were honored as we concluded our 40th year anniversary. Annette Ogletree-McDougal was introduced as our incoming Board Chair and made a few remarks. “Former President Bill Clinton once said, ‘We cannot build our own future without helping others to build theirs.’ I hope people will help us build everlasting homes for people. Come help us to make a difference,” said Ogletree-McDougal.

Volunteers were also recognized as the backbone of the Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity (CEHFH), contributing thousands of hours annually. Two volunteers were honored, Mr. and Mrs. Nutt, who received the 2024 Love and Commitment Award.

The CEHFH incoming board members were introduced: DeLisa Clift, Meechelle Kent, Kelly Johnson, Raydell Martin, Kurtina Pollen, Kit Trainor, and Temperance West.
