Well, we finally replaced the old AC system with a brand new one. Customers and staff have been extremely grateful. Now customers can feel cool and relaxed while shopping at the ReStore.
We have been very blessed to receive many wonderful donations from the community and local businesses. We have been hard at work processing those donations such as fifty brand new kitchen cabinets from Kitchen Design Solutions, a trailer load of Keter outdoor furniture and multiple pieces of home furniture from Ashley Furniture. We cannot forget SCAD for donating multiple truckloads of chairs, desks, and furnishings. A big thank you to Kit Trainor who volunteers her time and expertise to help merchandise our sales floor and refreshes our store look on a regular basis. Customers always say how nice the store looks after Kit has worked her magic. Sadly, Matt, our customer service associate moved on to teach in Columbia, South America. In his replacement, we have brought on two new customer service associates, Aimee and Terena, to help the ReStore serve our customers in a fun, fast and friendly manner. Through all the generous donations, wonderful volunteers and hardworking staff, our Restore was able to generate $662,000 in sales this last fiscal year. That amount is the equivalent to building 4 Habitat homes!
