FAQS
Q: I have a large item(s) to donate to the ReStore, who do I contact to schedule a donation pickup?
A: Please call our ReStore at 912-661-3137
Q: Will I receive a tax deduction slip?
A: Yes, at the time of drop off or pickup. The ReStore notes the quantity, but does not determine fair market value of your donation.
Q: Does the ReStore only take new materials?
A: No, the majority of the ReStore is filled with gently used, good-condition construction materials.
Q: Does donating usable building materials actually make that big of a difference?
A: Nationally, total building-related construction and demolition (C&D) waste is estimated to be 30 percent of the total waste stream, making it the single largest source of waste going into landfills. In the past, used materials like appliances, cabinets, lighting and hardware may have ended up in the landfill. But the ReStore thrives off of what you don't need, saving you time and money by taking materials you don't need any more - materials that can be reused.
